Cat Care

£5 per 1/2hr for the first animal; subsequent animals £2 extra per visit - food provided by owner; water replenished and medication given as requested.

I am happy to provide a service to water plants, bring in post, close/open curtains and switch on lights free of charge when caring for any animal in residence.

With holiday time fast approaching, don't forget to book your pets holiday care too.

Please also note that I am able to care for diabetic pets and give insulin injections twice a day (since the advent of one of my own cats developing diabetes)

About Woodham Pet Care Services

Welcome to Woodham Pet Care Services, based in South Woodham Ferrers and covering the surrounding area.

I have been lucky enough to work with animals for most of my working life and can’t remember a time when animals have not played an important role .  I was 21 when I first started work with the RSPCA but it flamed an interest in animal welfare that has never faltered and nor can I imagine it ever doing so.

Other than owning domestic animals myself,  I have also been lucky enough to work with a variety of animals, dogs and cats being the most obvious, but I have also cared for rabbits, guinea pigs, mice, rats, ferrets, caged and wild birds, poultry, swans, foxes, badgers and even a seal.  It hasn’t been without it’s heartache but it has given back the effort put in, tenfold.

In 1997, I started work with Cats Protection and have twelve years of experience caring for both domestic and feral cats of all ages. My final project with the charity was to research and put together a national branch manual which in part, covers the general standards of care that cats should be kept in.

I currently have four cats and four tortoises and have been lucky enough to have three beautiful GSD’s share my home at different times throughout my life.

I’ve volunteered for GSD Welfare, Rabbit Rescue, the RSPCA and Cats Protection, in fact I still do volunteer for CP.

I have been CRB vetted and am also fully insured and happy to provide references.

It’s a major undertaking for owners to leave their pets.  The initial meeting is completely free of charge and ensures that you are happy with me and that I, in turn am happy to care for your animals in an informed and capable way.

I will make a note of any special requirements your pet needs, together with details of diet, favourite activities, health and medical history and veterinary contact details.  If I don’t know something I won’t just assume I know, I will ask you.

For peace of mind I will happily either text or email you free of charge daily if required, to advise on your pet’s welfare, details to be arranged on an individual basis.

I look forward to a long and happy friendship with you and your pets.
